A dream for the not-too-distant future?
On February 7, 2006 my life changed forever. I was given a "tsunami" dream that concerned New Orleans. There was a period of two years mentioned within the progression of the dream. Overturning abortion (Roe v. Wade) was a central element. It concerned "fathers" in a spiritual sense. The prophecy's connecting Scripture is found in Daniel 1:1 and relates the attack of Nebuchadnezzar(Babylon's king) on Jerusalem. The dream was incredibly graphic and I have never doubted it was from the Lord. I have asked the Lord many times for the interpretation. I have assumed over the years that it is literal- but also symbolic. I believe New Orleans in the future will be inundated completely by water. I have since had visions of a great wave sweeping through Bourbon Street. This was a vision and not a dream. Many months ago, I awoke with the words, "The water is coming!" There is a spiritual component to this vision as well. The Holy Spirit can be expressed as a wave or as water. A river or an ocean might symbolize the Spirit of God being outpoured and experienced afresh by God's people.
I had a recent "tsunami" dream. It also was graphic. The Lord seems to be saying that these events are getting closer. Not many days after, I was sitting on my couch when I received a text from a prophetic friend. She said in her text:"Have you heard what they are saying about New Orleans going under water in September?" Strange message right? Perhaps. As I was considering this message and it's import--I received another text within minutes from another prophetic person. This one stated:"I had a vision last night of New Orleans under ocean water." I don't believe in or accept coincidence; but I do believe in "Godincidence." This is where God confirms a message by sending an immediate message. I have taken this to the Lord in prayer. He is responding. What is he saying? A major event could be on the horizon for 20ll. It could begin in New Orleans. It could be massive and could change New Orleans forever-more than Katrina. Pray and prepare and tell others to pray and prepare. God doesn't give visions and dreams for an empty purpose. We must intercede as the Holy Spirit helps.
