The Significance of the 4/14 03/15/2010
God speaks in many ways, one of these ways is through showing us His ways or his mode of operation through the use of numbers, dates, or other phenomena. God has personally shown me great significance in regard to 4/14 as a date and as a scripture verse. First, it was on April 14, 1865, that Abraham Lincoln was gunned down by John Wilkes Booth. Lincoln, in the weeks leading up to his death, was warned by the Lord. He received a "God Dream" in which the Lord showed him that he would be assassinated, and he was. God also warned his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln. Next, we have the amazing plight of the Titanic. The massive ship, measuring three football fields long and standing 11 stories tall, also met its fate on a clear cold night, April 14, 1912. Again, as with President Lincoln's assassination, God tried to warn the people on the Titanic with premonitions and with warnings and dreams. For whatever reason that you would think of, the people in command of the ship did not heed the warnings, and the great luxury liner was doomed at 11:40 PM. Finally, we come to a scripture that has relevance for this time and for this place. It is found in Esther 4:14 and says ..."For who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this." NKJV This verse shows me that there is a Sovereign time and a place of destiny for each of us. This was a powerful time in Biblical history where God rescued the Jewish people from extermination by using a Jew, Queen Esther, who had been raised by God in an amazing manner for His Divine Purpose. God has raised us--the warriors and intercessors who represent The Wave--to a place of effecting change on a nationwide scale. All things are possible. This is our 4/14 moment. But, these visions are for a positive change, not a tragic result. AI |
